MICHAEL - Musselburgh 12.50

A Novice Handicap Chase over 2 1/2 miles and although a shorter price than we would normally like I can't see past EAGLE RIDGE as the likely winner here after a promising run when weakening over 3 miles here last time, drop in trip looks likely to suit and should gain some compensation.

Ballycrystal Court at big Odds is a danger who does crop up from time to time but has Course and Distance form, Lovely Schtuff like the tip may benefit from a drop in trip too but I still have no idea what right trip is for this horse who seems to travel quite well and then fade, may need a wind op or possibly 2 miles and 2 furlongs. This is an easy 2 1/2 miles so could be a danger. Veiled Secret has decent hurdles form but a Flat profile, would massacre these in a flat race but no sure about a Chasing career?

The interesting one in terms of a Tracker tip and to follow after today is TIMESAWAITING who has a decent bit of 3 miles P2P form so always likely to be a better Chaser than Hurdler, needed seasonal debut, ran over very inadequate trip last time, they don't hang about going Chasing and may nick a place here but definitely one to follow for leading Scottish yard.

TIP - EAGLE RIDGE - 1 point win / Tracker Timesawaiting @ 8/1 - 1/2 point e/w

MICHAEL - Hereford 3.20

A few in here with chances, Eaton Miller made a nice seasonal return here but has tended to be kept to summer ground and that's a niggle. Hepburn has top weight and is closely rated with the Tracker horse and may just need a bit of respite from the handicapper. Heresmynumber has won at the trip in Heavy at Sedgefield in 2018 but lightly raced and may need to see a bit more before diving in with a cash investment.

Misty Mai looks the obvious one as a well handicapped CD performer but if KILCREA BRIDGE comes back out after a 4 day break (has run close races and run well off a break of around 14 days before) could be a bit more value. We'll go with KILCREA BRIDGE but if a non runner have a win saver on Misty Mai.

We were very disappointed when CAP HORNER was withdrawn at Exeter a few days ago due to low sun and fences being taken out. Has won over further and in soft so assured stamina, a plodder hence the more fences the better, but perfectly capable of staying on round here in sticky Going and drop to Class5 and reduced handicap mark again too good to ignore. We think Exeter may have suited better as a Course so not a tip but a confident Tracker today.

TIP KILCREA BRIDGE / Tracker Cap Horner - 1/2 point e/w  @ 25/1  (if Kilcrea Bridge a non runner have 1 point win on Misty Mai)
