Limerick 1.30 Handicap Hurdle - 2 miles 5 furlongs - 18 run - Heavy  

 

At the head of the market I fancy NATIVE GOLD who was impressive on recent return to take care of Cosmo Renfro and will be disappointed if NATIVE GOLD doesn't win this and I will back accordingly.

 

Great Island is consistent and has run well in defeat but the stubborn mark looks a ceiling currently, Lackfield Lusive would have place claims on some Course form on the Outer Track and elsewhere and wasn't lightly discounted. Tilloughna is another with credible Course form but niggles about the Going just erred me away. I/m adding Beaverstown to the TRACKER after today as I think there are races to be won down the tracks with this ex 3 mile P2P horse and upped from 2 miles it'll be interesting to watch today.

 

In addition to NATIVE GOLD and in order of preference, I really like the chances of LIGHT PARADE a very consistent horse who just looks honest and genuine and a solid each way banker, STORM MAHLER is one we tipped last time and I actually think it ran a lot better than the final 7th place finish suggested, the drop to this intermediate trip looks very sensible and it has Distance winning form in the past. Finally, CAPTAIN JIMMY did jump off the page at me a 3 mile Novice winner, an eyecatcher at 3 miles here last time and another who will surely benefit from the drop in trip!
