Navan 3.15

MICHAEL - Navan 3.15 Handicap Hurdle - 2 miles 6 furlongs - 15 run - Heavy

Benkei is a veteran now but is in the Tracker and once again they book a decent jockey but that's about the most positive aspect about its chances on current form. I can understand the market support for the likes of Grace Faraday, Clear The Clouds and Stockdale, but this will be a real test of stamina and heart and one specifically stands out as excellent each way value and a couple of others at bigger prices have some 3 mile P2P form and glimmers of ability respectively.

I'm most keen on AODHAN MAY, more used to Chasing these days but running off a very competitive Hurdles mark and very flexible when switching Codes. The 3 miles form is clear and is form on heavy going and if you are ticking the right boxes this one ticks the most.

At bigger Odds and certainly worth a small flutter to enhanced place Odds are WANCHU BACH who has some some signs of ability and who retains scope to improve and if it can just tidy up the odd jumping error that has spoilt a few promising runs it can run a place at least here. AGHMOROUGH BRIDGE has some mixed messages in terms of form but has some solid 3 mile P2P form and in a race where many may toil up the long straight, I do fancy this as the type to stay on past beaten and pulled up horses to may be nick a small prize at nice odds.

Tips - (1) Aodhan May / (2s) Wanchu Bach / (3s) Aghmorough Bridge
