When the going gets soft here it is really deep and not many get through it with conviction so we're looking for proven stamina.

 

At the top of the market is Cathys Quest on Chase debut and up 12 lbs for a Handicap Hurdle win last time that was a bit out of the blue. I'm happy to take it on. He Fitz In was also a winner last time over hurdles on Going we thought may be too soft when Yielding, the anticipated Storm does it no favours and it's runs over Chase Fences don't inspire confidence either. Steps Match and Shantou Sisu are both in the Tracker System but neither really appreciated this sort of ground so best watched.

 

A pair really stand out, it's a poor quality race so we'll limit to "shrapnel bets".

 

FATHER JED has a Course and Distance win a while back now off a mark of 91, its OK on soft and with the Course form this 12 year old should get round off a mark of 77 and frankly that in itself may be enough in a race that looks there for the winning for the brave!

 

HIGHLAND STING has been noted staying on late a few times over 3 miles being "nearest at the finish" , it's not got obvious heavy ground form, but neither has it failed in heavy ground. If they set out to "finish" and it does what it normally does then I'd suggest it should place at nice e/w Odds and anything else would be a bonus.
