MICHAEL - Thurles 2.30 Handicap Hurdle - 2 miles 4 and 1/2 furlongs - 16 run - Yielding to Soft

 

Important to note that 2nd reserve Hunting brook is early market leader and IF not getting a run that would compact the top end of the market!

 

Penny Jar, Rajin Cajun, Tilloughna and another reserve Light Parade were all seriously considered and will be real dangers. 

 

I'm most keen though on DRAGONS PASS and LIZLUCKY. DRAGONS PASS gets a 6lbs penalty for a fine win last time and Denise Forster continues to operate at a decent level under the radar. The horse should be more than capable of going in again if the visual impression of the win is repeated here. LIZLUCKY runs very well fresh having won and placed in seasonal debuts and has a good Course record and I'll be disappointed if it's not in the enhanced places at least here.

 

A couple to note at big Odds with plenty of scope for some shrapnel / £1e/w bets at your discretion. ON THE TIDE is an ex 3 mile P2P horse upped up to this intermediate trip, more than a few positive signs and one I'll be TRACKING but who may just sneak something here. CLONBURY BRIDGE was in evry good form this time last year and is more exposed but also more experienced than a few of these. It's VERY interesting off today's mark at anything over 25/1!
