Warwick - Thursday 12th December

MICHAEL - Warwick

A lot of rain about yesterday and after a cold night more due today so I expect the Going to be a fair bit softer than advertised. Both selected races lend themselves to finding proven stamina so here goes-:

12.50 a number of ex Point2Point horses in this 18 runner field and I looked at Clondaw Promise; Straw Far Jack and Firak (who could be the one to beat) together with progressive ex Bumper horse Kalooki, who may want it too deep.

However the pair I want against the big field are AGENT VALDEZ from the in form Rergal O'Brien yard, it ran here over Course and Distance last time, lost a shoe in running, but should have learned a lot and looks nice prospect. From the Tom George Yard comes WRITTENINTHESAND who won a very nice P2P impressively, this is its first Hurdle race and frankly "could be anything" but I am aware very highly thought of as a long term Chasing prospect.

I will have FIRAK and KALOOKI in a Tricast Perm with the 2 tips

In the 2.25 race GETAWAY MISSION and POND ROAD Look strong and I narrowly prefer POND ROAD with David Bass up for Kim Bailey, this trip should be ideal having found 2 miles insufficient and the 3 miles and 2 furlongs too far last time, but ran well to beyond the point of this 2 miles and 5 furlong trip.

The Claire Dyson trained CLASSIC TUNE has won over 2 1/2 miles on soft off a mark of 112 and slips in here off an appealing 100, could outrun Odds and a decent Tracker bet.
