Curragh 4.30

SEAN - Curragh 4.20 Handicap - 1 mile 4 furlongs - 17 run / Good / Good to Firm

I really think this could be dominated by the pair at the head of the market so lets cover off Dartington and Kazakdaria with a reverse forecast to cover a couple of other bets.

A few have got proven stamina over much further that they may not be able to fully exploit on the fast ground but the likes of Vischio, Wild Shot; Extensio and Sean Says could all run well if the pace is too fast at the front.

I'm most interested in 4 of them and think that both Derry Lad for whom the slight drop in trip could be ideal but a high draw isn't and CASK MATE a National Hunt Flat horse whose sole try at this distance on the Flat was pretty impressive have a chance to easily out-run their Odds, so fancying CASK MATE the most I'll have a small shrapnel bet on it.

The standout pair for me with some value are PACHMENA and FINAL ENDEAVOUR.

Pachmena had it's best run of last season over Course and Distance, gets a nice draw to get a decent early position from Stall 6 and runs off a mark 2lbs lower than that CD run. I've had a niggle about the riders experience but last time I did that the horse hosed up and as you'll know the only reason I didn't tip it was the pilot. We won't make that mistake again, if the horse is good enough the pilot only needs to be competent!

Final Endeavour is drawn well in Stall 3, is very solid and consistent at the trip usually off marks around the 60 mark and gets in with a 7 lbs Claimer off a mark of 67. I think if it runs its usual type of race it places at least at a nice e/w price.

The field size gives me scope when most meetings are desperately short of betting options so-:

TRACKERS - Pachmena + Final Endeavour - Shrapnel - Cask Mate (reserve Derry Lad) and have the small reverse F/Cast on the top 2 in the market if you wish
