A whole host of recent winners here but a number of them with penalties for that good form and who may well be vulnerable.

 

Ransom is up 7lbs for a Course and Distance win, Jaafel who has Course and Distance winning form off marks of 63 and 68 runs off a mark of 79!, Super Over with Course and Distance wins off 72 and 76 runs off a mark of 80 and Hightimeyouwon may not be winning here upped 5lbs for a win at 7 furlongs but trying a mile for the first time with that 5lbs penalty. Clearly all are in-form horses but i'm banking on them all hitting a ceiling in terms of their current handicap marks.

 

That opens up the race if the logic is correct and I think that FINAL VOYAGE who is only up a pound in weight for an impressive run here last time over Course and Distance and with a professional jockey this time has a very strong chance if just settling slightly better. 

 

Annexation is a danger reverting from Hurdling but is another above its win mark, Cristal Clere is another who has won a Course and Distance Maiden but a mark of 77 looks a shade on the high side to me, as does Torlangel, a similar Maiden CD winner who is 4lbs above that mark, this race is really stacked with Course and Distance form. Benavente is upped to a mile and has been finishing well enough at 7 furlongs to suggest it can be very competitive, in this case the mark looks right and he just missed an investment so would be reserve in the event of a non-runner.

 

 

The one at a price through who is worth very close examination is HALE BOPP, its back to a mark it has won off over Course and Distance, it's recent good form and has quietly arrived here with what looks like a sporting chance at very nice each way Odds.
