Fairyhouse 12.55

SEAN - Fairyhouse 12.55 - Porterstown Handicap Chase - 3 miles 5 and 1/2 furlongs - 18 run - Soft

"I'm happy to take on Call The Tune and Minella Crooner at 4/1".

SIR BOB won the Cork National for me last month beating Call The Tune on the line and despite a 7lbs penalty is only 3 lbs worse off with Call The Tune and I think his proven stamina will again help him. Of the Elliott runners, I think the pure form of FRONTAL ASSAULT stands out and would stand out whoever trained him. A runner up here in the 2022 Irish National, form figures of 3-2-2- at the Course and off the same 139 mark as the Irish National effort, I will be very disappointed if he doesn;t win this or be very close up in the 1-2-3.

I am also keen on EVERGLOW a bit of a forgotten horse, runs off a nice mark and weight and i keep looking at how well he was travelling in the BMW Chase in April before an unlucky fall and FAIRYHILL RUN who was 3rd in this is 2021, 4th in this last year off marks of 135 and 138 respectively and looks primed to run well again off a mark of 124 with a 3lbs Claim. That reflects poor recent form but it always pays to keep an eye on "race specialists".

The likes of Diol Ker, The Little Yank and Regina Dracones were closely analysed and Regina Dracones in particular who is in the TRACKER could soon fire into form.

For those who like a fun £1 e/w in these Irish races at very big prices then both Screaming Colours @ 40/1  and Mister Fogpatches @ 50/1 may seem to be out of form but both (especially Screaming Colours) have been in plenty of long distance races and run very well in the not too distant past and despite looking regressive have arrived at eye opening handicap marks as a result.
