The one they all have to beat is the Mullins runner returning to hurdles but I anticipate that We'llhavewan will be going off near Odds On, so if you want a saver on it feel free. The next pair in the market at the moment are Hard Rain and Loup De Tallane and both have solid place chances but don't really entice me in, and I'm particularly keen on one at a bigger price. 

 

I've got stamina concerns about Jakie Mac in these conditions but one to TRACK and follow may be Saga Aravis who was runner up over Course and Distance last November and then won off a mark of 85 and placed off increased marks up to 94. It will definitely need the run today and may need to come down to a mark around 90, but definitely one to keep an eye on.

 

One who is in the Tracker is CARRIG CAROL (beware there is another Carrig - Carrig Cathal also in the race) this one has now had a couple of runs so near peak fitness, it can travel well into races and the drop in trip is a plus and I'd give it an each way chance to enhanced places.

 

The one who really catches my eye though is BELLANEY GEM, its been racing at 2 miles in recent times and I don't think that suits as much as this trip where it had some success in past few years. The benefit of running over those shorter trips though is that they have quietly got the handicap mark back down into double figures and I can't help but thinking this may be a canny bit of placement. We shall see but I'm quietly confident that the horse can place at the very least.

 

 

One small footnote, I've heard some good reports about FORTUNEFAVOURSBOLD (who I have added to the Tracker) and it runs in the 12.37 race, it is a longer term prospect but in these conditions and with proven P2P form may run a nice race.
