Galway 2.30

SEAN - Galway 2.30 - Handicap Hurdle - 3 miles 1/2 furlong - 20 run - Soft

A typically competitive field and a fair few unexposed and possibly improving types here.

Percival Legaliols makes handicap debut for Gavin Cromwell off what could be a very lenient mark but this will be a whole new experience for the horse, the price at 4/1 looks OK if you want a saver on it. There are a few others though who have untapped potential at the trip and Summer Tide a 3 mile P2P winner finally gets upped to the trip and gets cheek-pieces after running well a few times lately and rates a bigger danger in my eyes. Rebellious Gale won at 2 miles 6 furlongs last time is upped to 3 miles with a 7lbs penalty.

Lie Low The Fields could be a nice prospect still, may just need this but definitely one to add to your Trackers, Romondo Dnezo is progressing but I simply can't work out how credible this mark will be so we'll have to wait and find out, Loudest Whisper is in solid form and should be threabouts but I'd expect a few to be better. Bronson In Blue has been campaigned mainly in the UK and has some solid runs there and should be competitive back here, Ballyadam Destiny is a 3 mile winner off a mar of 104,runs off 113 and I just think better at slightly shorter than the 3 miles, Song of Earth is back hurdling and yet to conclusively prove stamina and at the bigger prices I think FILL THE TANK may be worth a small exchange bet, a 3 mile P2P winner with a best win mark of 99, it looked to be returning to a bit of form last time and not a no hoper off 105 here.

SUMMER TIDE does concern me if you want the win saver on that one as opposed to the Cromwell horse but I have confidence in these 3 against the field for some enhanced places and the win.

MACGILLONEY may be top weight but looks very well handicapped to me. it has an excellent Course record with wins at 2 miles 5 furlongs off a mark of 132 and 3 miles off a mark of 127, it shaped as if getting close to full fitness and sharpness last time and a good 7 lbs Claimer claims off a mark of 130. I will be VERY disappointed if we're not in the money in some way with this one today.

BALINBOOLA STREET looked one of the more progressive types to me winning over Fences last time, it's on a good Handicap Hurdle mark still and looks a bit overpriced if it can transfer the proven Hurdle forms straight back on today. NOT SO SIMPLE too is in form and the 5lbs penalty for winning last time doesn't look prohibitive. I think it will finish in the first 4-5 here.

TIP - Macgilloney / Trackers - Balinboola Street / Not So Simple (saver - Summer Tide @ 11/2)
