This is always a trappy and competitive event and although a low draw is an advantage a horse breaking smartly from a higher draw or ridden to finish strongly up the hill always has a sporting chance. As always here important to conserve energy and not do too much too soon.

ROCK ETOILE is being well supported which suggests it will be fit enough off a 4 month break and has undoubtedly been prepared for this race and to hide a decent mark for as long as possible. Draw in 14 is a niggle but the horse has a touch of Class and confidently expected to go very close.

 

THUNDER RAIN may be an appropriate name for a horse at the moment, drawn in 6 should mean absolutely no excuses with luck in running. The trip and likely way the race is won looks ideal and the horse remains on a nice mark. No excuses and a bod run expected.
