Kilbeggan 6.30

Kilbeggan 6.30 Handicap Hurdle - 3 miles 1 furlong - 15 run Going Good

This is a very tight and undulating right handed circuit where they are always on the turn and any Course form is handy. It ideally suits prominent front running types and can be stolen from the front here but, on occasions they go off way too quickly, fall in to a heap after the second last and it's not uncommon to see something sail by from out of the clouds.

With 16 runners and 3 reserves we should have a full complement and but for being 3rd reserve I'd be very keen on SWISS BRID who I've had in my Tracker for a while and keen on in a race of this type, one I'd definitely have some late interest in "with a run"

Of the remainder, Morning Beatrice has more scope that most being ex Joseph O'Brien and if seeing out the trip will be a danger to all. I'm not totally convinced on pedigree or runs so far though that this trip is the answer but an improved run for a long way in to the race would be no surprise.

Royal Aide is another one to follow, the 102 day break is enough to dissuade me here but off a reduced mark of 102, which is 10 lbs below last win mark at 3 miles, definitely one to track after today. I think it'll need this and would be very dangerous off a mark below 100 on next few runs.

My pair against the field are NYMPHALL who won over Course and Distance a few runs back off a mark of 88, unlucky a few times since and the hunch they have dropped the mark a few times to get back here, off 97 but with a handy 7lbs Claimer they look to have a good chance of a place at least.

The real page jumper for me though is DAISYS HOLLOW. A winner of its last Hurdle race off a mark of 84 at Tipperary, a couple of Chase runs to hide the mark and comes back over favoured obstacles at right trip off a mark of 88 with a 7lbs Claimer and bottom weight, it'll be very disappointing if this one isn't back in contention tonight.
