A competitive field on Going that is Yielding to Soft, decent ground but the market seems to be erring towards horses maybe better suited to Yielding summer ground and I do think it will be a fair bit more stamina sapping than that, which has influenced my analysis.

 

Whilst the form figures back up the likes of Avec Espoir; Siberian Star; Touch Of Oscar and Twilight Girl, I think they are better on Good to Yielding than on Yielding to Soft and for that reason and their relatively skinny prices on softer Going, I'll take my chance and punt against them. 

 

Henry De Bromhead runs Tune the Chello, form figures of 2-2-1-2 before being bought down latest and one I think is a real danger although I think the handicapper may just now have it's measure and also PRESENTED WELL who could be more of a dark horse with some early 3 mile P2P form and upped in trip towards a longer Distance now under Rules. I'll have some shrapnel on Presented Well and see Tune The Chello as a possible Tricast Perm horse with my 2 other selections and Presented Well.

 

The obvious dangers are Favouri Logique with form figures of 2-2-1-1-1-F-3-2-2 clearly solid and consistent but may be better right handed; Millen To One who has shown promise over the Course and on handicap debut last time and R'evelyn Pleasure who has had a nice warm up over hurdles and who has some decent bits of Chase form, although I'm not convinced about the right trip for this one yet.

 

Averne and Soldier At War are the types who could run a place at decent odds but I'll side with SHE'S SOME DOLL and HOKE COLBURN in terms of main investment in the race.

 

SHE'S SOME DOLL a recent Tramore winner could be the one they all have to beat for the Cromwell yard that's clearly firing back to life at the right time (I do wonder if they did annual injections early before Christmas in a quiet spell for some in the yard) and in HOKE COLBURN we have a very consistent horse who regularly runs a place at nice Odds off this kind of mark and who is versatile on any ground and at any trip from 2 miles 4 furlongs to 3 miles. A horse who deserves a nice pot like this.
