Navan 3.25

SEAN - Navan 3.25 - Handicap - 1 mile 5 furlongs - 18 Run - Good / Good to Soft

There is a maximum field here of 18 and 3 reserves, a couple of whom may be dangers with a run.

At very big odds few are of interest although there is a bit about the mare ALLORA YEATES who has a placed effort over Course and Distance and a runner up at The Curragh amongst some pretty awful form otherwise which suggests there is some ability there. Its one that may need the run but I'll add it to the Tracker so that we can monitor it as it intrigues me!

A few are fit from the AW and the likes of No Never Again and Trump Card may use that fitness advantage. WHITE DESERT has been very well backed early in from a big price and there is some Course and Distance form here last April and it has had a prep run at Dundalk, so worth some shrapnel IF the price doesn't go too short. Pike County is an NHF winner for Denise Foster who could be anything frankly whilst at shorter odds, Female Approach is one I will track forwards but may need the run here, I'll also track forwards Derrinlaur who may start to deliver something this season for Jessie Harrington and both Abstract, who may also need the run and RODNEY BAY would seem to be leading contenders.

RODNEY BAY is fit from hurdling, has won on the Flat over 12 furlongs at Limerick off a mark of 54 and with that proven form and NH fitness looks the one to beat off a mark of 56 here. MAGNETIC NORTH and Machine Learner are both fit from AW and NH respectively, Adrian McGuinness is likely to have a shed load of winners this summer and with turf form off marks around 70 MAGNETIC NORTH looks a strong contender upped slightly in trip but with every suggestion it will suit.

The other one I particularly like is SCOTT LANG who was 3rd of 12 over course and distance here last April and was lightly raced since and who should have strengthened up as a result, its changed Yard and had an AW pipe-opener and should have no excuses therefore off a mark of 68.

TRACKER - Rodney Bay + Scott Lang (shrapnel - Magnetic North)
