Punchestown 2.10 Mares Handicap Hurdle over 2 miles 5 1/2 Furlongs (17 declared).

 

A moderate bunch but very competitive and possibly some each way value to be had.

 

At the head of the market whilst Tokyo Getaway looks the one to beat I'm not 100% about it's ability in this Going so will have an each way bet on ISOBELS GOLD who runs off a nice handicap mark following a nice return to action and looks very solid each way material. I will back that up with a tip on JAUNTY VELOCITY who is from the same Yard as Tokyo Getaway (Gavin Cromwell) and who drops in trip following a promising run over 3 miles here recently. Will need a good pace to aim at but likely to get it and should be doing best work late on and can grab an enhanced place at nice Odds.

 

Shantelle has a chance but mark looks high and Cash Me Outside is one for your long term notebooks but may need slightly better ground in the Spring. Of the remainder therefore both HOWAYA AOIFE @ 10/1 and TRICKEY TRIX @ 16-20/1 could outrun their Odds. Of the pair i think that Trickey Trix is best Tracker value and I will have a few bob on that one as my Tracker bet. It won a 3 mile P2P on soft, gets in off 100 with a decent 7lbs Claimer and overpriced.

The 3 at the head of the market (Frankly All Talk; Fiveaftermidnight and Guided By You) look very solid to me, can't really split them so will play a Tricast Perm for minimum Unit Stakes.

 

Of the remainder; Halsafari showed promise last time but I am not at all convinced about this trip, Spancil Hill is the type who can pop up but gets very little help from the Handicapper so the TRACKER is ROBIN DE ROOST who could give the market leaders most to think about after a decent Course run last time over further and indications a few times that this intermediate trip just short of 3 miles could be ideal.
