The race is held over the tighter Inner Track which is tighter than the more widely used and more galloping outer Track, but it can tend to be heavier in terms of Going.

 

At the top end of the market are Deliginis who is a worthy favourite who has won last 2 over hurdles and a Chase. Solid form but just a suspicion this trip in this ground will be a challenge it's yet proven in. The favourite is Envoi Piergi who has been a runner up over 3 miles in a P2P on Good to Yielding Going, and has won and been placed over 2 miles and 5 furlongs in Hurdles races. At the price and without conclusive form in Going and stamina, I'm happy to take it on.

 

A load have chances on best form but a striking lack of proven form in heavy at the trip and for that reason I will by-pass Spades Are Trumps, Spancil Hill (a fine winner for me in November but over it's optimum trip of 2 miles and 5 furlongs; Stars and Roses for the in form Mullins yard who may still need this run and the experience but at the big odds may be worth some loose change,and Twilight Girl, who looks a fine longer term prospect to add immediately to your Trackers but on better going than this and therefore no financial interest today.

 

I fear Cushinstown Finest but another who may just need a bit shorter and firmer underfoot conditions and I'm just thinking MOSCOWSOWHAT could just be in the grip of the handicapper right now and SCREAMING COLOURS off top weight and a winner last time has a clear record of winning fresh but then not running as well second time out, those in capitals biggest dangers to my selections together with the top two in the market.

 

I'm very ken today though on TOKYO GETAWAY 5th here last time over hurdles when tipped, a very impressive Novice Chase winner at Clonmel in heavy going earlier in career and is fit, solid and from the in form Cromwell yard. At the price is very good each way value.

 

At bigger Odds I think that CHOSEN HOUR could spring a bit of a surprise and outrun Odds a wide margin winner on this track on Good Going, fine at 3 miles and at the price and with some evidence it can handle soft at least, worth a small punt.
