Punchestown 2.35
Punchestown 2.35 Handicap Hurdle - 2 miles 4 and 1/2 furlongs - Soft - 13 run
We were very keen on Blenheim Belle in the abandoned meeting at Naas last Sunday and she was a notable absentee in the restaged race won by the tipped American Money on Friday. She looks very good each way value here with an eye catching Course and Distance place on her last run. Hopefully patience will be rewarded here.
I'm not sure of the value of Ito and Mitiva and win bets at the current prices just aren't enticing me in. Likewise both Mollys Glory and Whotookthebiscuit who carry penalties look solid enough and will be dangerous to the selection but don't appeal as great e/w value either.
Game And Glory is in the Tracker but I'm concerned about the forecast Going and See A Stride and Bestaline for Elliott have yet to really deliver much tangible evidence that they are up to winning this, but as we know the Yard can always surprise!. Ballycashin is so in and out as to be left alone on this occasion too.
A couple of old favourites therefore look worth a small shrapnel investment, conditions will suit, stamina is assured and both are "due", Ardera Ru is a bit on the high side handicap wise but gets perfect conditions and Courting Vickie can pop up off this sort of handicap mark around 80 and her stamina will possibly see her passing tired horses up the straight if she can lay up and stay interested long enough.
Tips (1) Blenheim Belle / (2s) Ardera Ru / (3s) Courting Vickie.
