5.00 A fair few of these have to prove stamina for any trip over a mile and may be found out at the business end provided they don't dawdle early on. Slamadoor has a leading chance along with Zonic, if they get the trip, Nevada Brave is knocking on the door over Course and Distance with form figures of 5-4-5 so has to have an each way shout and ROMANN with 2 x CD wins off marks of 45 and 48 may come on for a recent run off a 707 day break but may just still need this but will be my reserve. The pair I most like are JACKANDTHEFOX who has a second go at this trip and who should have learned something from the first bash and it's a tip in itself that they try again and DRAGON ROLL who has Course and Distance winning form off a mark of 47 and who may need further now but has that absolute stamina in the bag and who should be staying on best off a mark of 50.

 

5.30 Far more competitive at the top of the market with the likes of Choclate Blu and Higher Kingdom who are both penalised for recent wins, Cursory Exam who looks the one to beat and Je T'ai Porte all solid contenders.

 

Halcyon Spirit was a nice winner for us before Christmas but gets a whopping penalty, but there are 3 I really fancy here at nice odds. In order of preference they are MADS BLACK EIGHTS who has a solid Course and Distance profile of 1-2-2 off marks from 62 to 67, drops back to it's optimum trip here off a mark of 69 and a 3lbs Claim, NEWGIRLINTOWN was very unlucky in running in the race tha Halcyon Spirit won in mid December and should have another excellent chance with luck in running this time and in order of preference the third one to note is ELZAAMSAN who had very decent Maiden form here , who has struggled off an opening handicap mark but who may now start to become competitive off a declining mark and very much one for your notebooks.
