I'll leave Strumptown and Angels Dawn alone at the prices as I'm not sure the trip is ideal for the former and the latter makes handicap debut in very attritional conditions.

 

Follow The Crowd is a solid performer but isn't on a really appealing mark at the moment, Brampton Belle is another on handicap debut with stamina to prove and may not be bottomed out once finding it tough going. Portstorm has been occasionally backed in to very short prices but has yet to justify the investment, Royal Thief has been off for over 2 years, Notice To Close has shown glimmers of form and has a P2P background and I have stamina concerns about Oscar Romero, Wa Wa and Enemi Public in this sort of ground.

 

I'm really sweet on JOHN ADAMS a Course and Distance winner off 116 last January has changed Yards and had a nice quiet but interesting recent seasonal debut for new connections. SPADES ARE TRUMPS has the reputation of being a Good ground horse BUT if you look far enough back it has run well enough on heavy here and is on a very appealing mark. At big odds it's easy to overlook the fact that although out of form that HISTORY OF FASHION won in similar conditions at Down Royal last season off 119, gets in off 123 with a 7lbs Claimer here and was a 6/1 favourite in The Eider Chase less than a year ago. He's seriously over-priced IF clicking!
