This is a very competitive race but it's the probability of significant rain that pulls me in for a couple of bets.

 

The race is stacked with old favourites like Menindee (Tracker) , Steps Match (Tracker), Goodnightgodbless, Gotthenod, Ballyglass Beauty etc. I think the likes of Dinoland may be inconvenienced by rain and conversely Early Arrival needs a stack of rain. 

 

A pair stand out in the likely conditions and on form and off their respective marks. BALLYGLASS BEAUTY has a 5lbs penalty for a recent Course and Distance win and it's very much a specialists track here, very tight but quite demanding and  it can get deep quite quickly when rain arrives, TOWNHILL PENNY for Elliott with Kennedy in the saddle was very unlucky last time and showing real promise beforehand, likely to be back later on the price at time of writing draws me in

 

IF there are 2 real dark horses here they are NORTH OF NASHVILLE and KNOCKNAGAPPAGH, both started in the 3 mile P2P fields, both gradually bought along at insufficient trips and both really catch my eye as long term prospects at this sort of trip. I'm adding BOTH to the TRACKER and will have a very small e/w investment at the current prices around 33/1 mark
