Tuesday 19th July Kilbeggan

Ballinrobe - Handicap Hurdle - 2 miles 5 and 1/2 furlongs - Good to Yielding (2 Divisions)

7.00 - 15 run (with reserves)

At the top of the market i can't rule out GLENMALURE LODGE or NATURAL LOOK but have niggles enough about both not to dive in too deeply, Glenmalure Lodge has had 2 runs in 3 years including an impressive runner up last time, they can always "bounce" though, Natural Look has some 3 mile P2P form , mainly kept to 2 miles under Rules, the step up is interesting and logical but the price very short. I suggest you cover this pair off with a small Reverse Forecast

At bigger prices Ballycastle Brat is one with poor form but it's sole decent run was here so may be worth watching, Roccorionach is in the long term Tracker and has shown glimmers a few times at 3 miles and the step back in trip should see a better run and worth a bit of shrapnel on that basis if you like to follow these long term Trackers. Captain Court I think has to show much more and is also a long term Tracker.

That left me with 4 of real interest, For The Cause ran a better race over a furlong less last time but stamina is the big question mark for me. MYLADYROSE won and placed off 80 + 81 before a break and made a quiet return, may still just need this but one to TRACK after today I think and will be a reserve if either of the main selections don't run.

DALILEO is one I'm very keen on, its in solid form with figures of 3-2-4-3 and off a pretty static mark of 93, I can't find any reason not to invest in it tonight. At bigger prices I am keen also on HILLSIN for Gavin Cromwell whose best run was at this trip and I think there is still some scope in this one once they unlock the key in terms of the best trip.

TRACKERS - Dalileo + Hillsin (see notes re reverse F/Cast and reserve)

7.30 - 16 run (with reserves)

The one to beat here is ROSSIES TARA and if you want a small saver this is one I can't really oppose. It looked to have strengthened up when runner up on seasonal debut and a repeat of that would make it tough to beat here.

Lady L'Erom is frustrating in that it often runs well but finds one to beat it and as a result isn't much price value. I think it'll find one to beat it here and a few more scopey types that I particularly like could improve past it. It would not surprise if it popped up, it would deserve it but not in my plans investment wise tonight.

Miss Polly Shelby is an inconsistent horse from an inconsistent stable and no value at the price. A Dublin Job is still very novice type and green but looks to have some ability, it is one I suggest we all TRACK over the next 12 months, it will win races. Sittingonthefence has shown some promise including here but may be seen to better effect over a different trip I feel. Bye Bye O beye is now a veteran and in the Tracker for a long time, always capable of niching a place but one you just want to see have a nice run round and come home safe.

First Earl is in the Tracker and IF you go back far enough to 2018 it was a runner up to Allbarone a 109 rated Handicapper now in a P2P. Its been very disappointing since then but mostly kept to 2 miles and thereabouts. It's finally upped in trip, they add a tongue tie and cheek-pieces and it's a Yard that can throw in an absolute bandit from time to time. I suggest a few quid on the win/place exchanges or e/w IF you can get equivalent of 50/1 plus... it's one of those you can't just leave alone as if you do it might just fire.

I'm very keen though on KARLA MARTINA who has placed over  a furlong further here recently off a mark of 94, the drop back a furlong and a mark of 93 ticks all the right boxes and I'll be very disappointed if it's not runner up at worst to be frank. WESTERNERONA is another who should be looking to step up now too, its won over 2 miles and 3 furlongs and is in my opinion crying out for this sort of trip and a drop to a mark of 88, 5 lbs below that win mark is an eye-catcher.

The other one I wouldn;t fully discount is CHIEF SEATTLE whose one standout run so far was over this Course but which hasn't been backed up elsewhere, they jock off the usual apprentice and bring in Danny Mullins and that's also a bit of an eye-catcher!

TRACKERS - Karla Martina + Westernerona  / Shrapnel - Chief Seattle (win saver if you wish on Rossies Tara)....
