ROBIN T - 3.40 my 2 against the field here are FALCO BLITZ and SMACKWATER JACK and I will come on to them shortly.

 

Looking at the market I can see why Ask Ben is favourite but a promising run at Haydock, which is a completely different track to here leaves me feeling the price is a bit on the short side. Kilbricken Storm similarly could run a very big race, has plenty of form fresh but went too much off the boil last season to be as short as 11/2 here on seasonal debut. Champers On Ice is in great form but this is a significant step up on anything achieved in those pair of wins.

 

FALCO BLITZ who came from the P2P fields was tapped for pace but staying on last time here and looks ideally suited by the step up in trips and SMACKWATER JACK has had 2 good solid runs at the trip, including one at the Course and will now be cherry fit and they will know exactly what the stamina limitations are now with this horse who may yet have some untapped potential in this Grade and conditions.
