Chepstow 2.55 - Handicap Chase - Class 4 - 2 miles 3 1/2 furlongs - 10 run  Heavy

 

I am not sure about some of the market leaders on this Heavy tacky Going so we will give another chance to Evan Williams ON THE ROAD. The horse ran well enough over further last time, travelled well and came to lead the race but then weakened over the extended trip. A similar run today over this shorter trip should see it staying on right to the line and with proven form in the Heavy Going, I expect a place at the very least.

 

Marley Firth is a Course winner who gets conditions it needs but i have a suspicion it is a horse more comfortable over Hurdles so we will have a TRACKER bet on GOODGIRLTHERESA. A Course and Distance winner, has had 2 runs this season for a Yard slowing running in to form. The first run was needed and it lost a shoe last time out, which will have hindered its chances. It should be absolutely fit now, clearly OK with the Course and some form on heavy. A nice e/w punt.

Chepstow 3.25 - whilst the Evan Williams trained Carpool is of interest long term (no financial interest yet!)...Henry Olivers AVANTGARDIST drops in trip following a very promising run at Warwick last time. Todays Trip (2 miles 3 1/2 furlongs) looks to be a sensible drop back in trip and a solid each way Tracker Tip.
