Doncaster 3.53
ROBIN - Doncaster 3.53 Handicap Hurdle -Class 5 - 2 miles 5 furlongs - Good to Soft 17 run
I don't think this is a particularly deep race despite the field of 17.
At bigger prices What A Steal has had a wind operation and I've added to the TRACKER as I have Colirock who has a win over 3 miles in the P2P fields and some glimmers of form and unlucky last time when the saddle slipped.
Burrows Hall ran well on seasonal debut but the yard is really struggling for form at the moment so best watched, Well Vicky may need the run but is already in the TRACKER and Nickelforce may be best on ground that is a lot firmer than it's likely to be by the time this contest is run.
I thought long and hard before leaving out Headscarf Lil, a typical Richards horse whose best is on Good ground but a horse who is consistently inconsistent, it's just the possible churned up dead ground that puts me off. Ambassador is the one I found hardest to not leave out with progressive runs at 2 miles and 2 miles 2 furlongs, IF it stays this trip it has got to go very close, the fact they put up a 10lbs Claimer is telling, so I suggest a shrapnel bet. I also want £1 e.w on the overpriced NO WORRIES @ 33/1 this one has reverted back to Hurdles from fences but is ideally suited by the trip and the likely ground and if rediscovering its spark would be very well handicapped.
My main pair though are ZWICKY who really does look the one to beat here and at around 9/2 the field a 2 point win or 1 point e/w bet at your discretion and the top weight IMMORTAL FLAME who is the one with the most solid form with the exception of ZWICKY and who ticks all the boxes for me and anything around 7/1 to enhanced places looks an e/w banker type bet with luck in running in a race lacking overall depth.
Tips (1) Zwicky / (2) Immortal Flame / (3s) Ambassador - see notes
