I don't think conditions are ideal for any kind of serious punt today they are likely to be very attritional but that could play in to the hands of ECHO WATT. THis one has had a couple of warm up races and should now be race fit, it's last 2 wins at 3 miles have been in Heavy Going at Uttoxeter off a mark of 97 and Bangor off 113, it's also won at shorter in Heavy at Fontwell off a mark of 109 and running off 107 here has no excuses at all.

 

The most likely danger is PETITE POWER who was runner up over 300 yards further here last time, it's best run in recent times, we know the stables horses are teak hard and fit and age whould not stop a bold run at a trip it's won at in heavy off a stone higher and I think Lily Pinchin is an ideal Claimer for this and likely to have the horse handy throughout.

 

If you wanted a bit of shrapnel on Steel Native, who can pop up here at big odds when everything else is pulled up early, then I'd not put you off.

Robin - the O'Brien / McPherson yard also run the odds on favourite in the 12.40 race and every other horse in that bar one comes from a Flat or National Hunt Bumper background and has no form at all in heavy Going. The exception is Evan Williams trained PAGEANT MATERIAL, it has little form so far but has come from the 3 mile P2P fields and has run further under Rules and for this reason I will have a shrapnel bet each way purely on the P2P background
