Friday 6th November

Tracker suggestions for the day, a pair whose odds look over-priced to me, pretty speculative but back-form is there.

HEXHAM 3.30 JUST GEORGIE for the Sue Smith yard only slowly coming to form now with a couple of placed runners this week. They are all needing a run or two, I think many are missing the capable hands of Danny Cook to be honest. This one has been in the doldrums but has fallen to an incredibly generous mark. It won a 3 mile Chase in similarly attritional conditions at Wetherby a few years back off a mark of 110. Then suffered in grip of handicapper and at times unsuitable Going in higher Grades for a couple of seasons. Still not that many miles on the clock and one who if it just gets jumping and in to a nice rhythm might just think to itself on this ground..."I quite fancy this today" and put best foot forwards....off a mark of 90, with a decent 10lbs Claimer up against many who won't fancy the mud....I'll take a chance.

WARWICK 1.35 KARAKORAM - Grace Harris is a Trainer I like and she can place her horses very well. Interesting to spot therefore that two of this horses best runs have been here over this trip on Good to Soft Going. November 19 was 3rd off a mark of 115 and in February this year was 3rd again off a mark of 118. In both of those races and a few others the horses that beat KARAKORAM have gone on to better marks, so I think it's a solid little handicapper who can nick a race and who clearly likes this quirky Course. I think it's over-priced therefore off a mark of 108 with a 5lbs claimer who is capable enough. Could be some perfect placement and a fresh aid to boost confidence too.

--------

I spent longest on the 1.10 at Hexham but hard to look past the market leaders in this one, Barnay may be a bit of each way value, Dunly may need the run but one to follow, Grand Enterprise may stay on but way too short in trip I fear, that leave AMERICAN TOM who would have gobbled these up a few years back, showed some promise last time and probably one for your each way accumulators if you do them.
