Haydock 2.20 Quri is an odds on favourite here and the logical choice but that can push prices of others out. There is heavy rain about and the "Good to Soft" may quickly turn soft or heavy and that opens up the field a lot. I want to side with something at a price with proven form in mud at the trip, a strategy that gave us a glut of bigger priced placed horses at the weekend.

The less exposed EMERALD CHIEFTAN could run better than we have seen so far with some decent 3 mile P2P form, in form yard and plenty of scope and I will have a small saver on that one. There are a pair though who can pop up occasionally off low marks. AGENT LOUISE is well handicapped, gets ideal conditions but usually needs a run. TURTLE CASK on the other hand has had 2 runs on unsuitable good Going, best runs are when it is "sloppy/heavy" and the trip and handicap mark are fine. 

Very few in the race are proven at the trip, they may go off a shade too quickly and provided TURTLE CASK is not run off its feet early and ridden with the trip in mind, I can see it running on in to a place at least at nice each way Odds.
