Kempton 2.55 - Handicap Hurdle - Class 4 - 2 miles 5 furlongs (18 run) Good to Soft

 

The enhanced place odds for 18 runners and a competitive field draw me in here and we will have a win saver bet on Fergal O'Brien's impressive recent winner IMPERIAL ELYSIAN at the had of the market.

 

The best value and each way tip is DOLLNAMIX from Emma Lavelles in form yard. Not really struck form in 2 runs so far this season but has been given time and not unduly exerted in worst of the winter ground. That patience should now start to pay off and the horse is very well handicapped on form in similar conditions to today in 2018 and 2019. The trip and Going and right handed are ideal and a confident each way tip.

 

I want to keep on the right side of Kauto The King and feel there is a win in that horse once they unlock the optimum trip but narrowly pass it over as a Tracker bet for MEAD VALE who has proven stamina, has won over 2 miles so tactical speed, runner up over 3 miles proves the stamina and runs off a very nice mark.

Touch Kick for Paul Nicholls is clearly the one they all have to beat here IF you want a win saver.

 

I will play 2 Tracker bets (and a nice Tricast Perm) with WICKED WILLY who has won over the Course and at the Distance and who is back on a nice mark and tends to find form around this time of the year and also KILFILUM CROSS who has a very similar profile, Course winner, winner at the Distance, best right handed, best form February-April and back to a very nice mark.

Bangor On Dee - 2.10 Handicap Chase 3 miles 6 furlongs - 10 run - soft

 

A race we won a few years back with Barton Gift at big odds and a real slog in soft Going.

 

Hard to look past the 3 at the head of the market in Big Difference / Sheneededtherun and High Counsel but  afew to keep a close eye on today and in the coming weeks.

 

Misfits has proven stamina, mark is coming back down close to win mark and one to follow and track after today. Benechenko is a 3 mile P2P winner who has become disappointing but they turn to first time blinkers and be interesting to see if the horse improves for them.

 

The Tracker tip though is ALBERTOS DREAM who has had 2 runs for Katy Price. Went from a mark of 80 to 115 on a golden form run of 11112 for Tom Lacy a few years back and is finally coming back close to a reasonable handicap mark again. I think off a mark of 106 can run a big race and outrun Odds here.
