Robin - Ludlow 2.15 Handicap Hurdle - Class 5 - 3 miles - 11 run - Good to Soft 

 

A Track built on a sand base over the centuries and usually drains very well. They do have a pretty narrow bend at the top end of the Course turning in past a Golf Course Green and Bunkers, this can churn up quite badly and usually means they make efforts off the bend and into the long finishing straight.It can pay though to race prominent round that bend and kick on from near the front.

 

This is a tight 11 runner race and market and with Clondaw Pretender having its first hurdle run since May 2021and only recently back from a 2 year gap albeit on an excellent handicap mark on old form, Fantomas being a sketchy jumper and Movie King needing Good ground and barely getting the trip, I'm not overly confident of the top three in the market. 

 

The Scorpion King and Samation are decent prospects but upped half a mile in trip but nothing in their past runs nor pedigrees to latch on to to think the increase in trip will help and Getbazoutofhere may well need this run on past evidence on seasonal debut. One to add to the TRACKER is Release The Kracken who showed good form in early 2022 for Laura Morgan before going right off the boil and if martin Keighley can restart that spark, may be one to follow but has been off for 298 days.

 

That leaves me with DUKE OF MORAVIA for Henry Daly, who might have a cracking day here and not for the first time. This one has had a run, steps up 2 furlongs in trip but has tried the trip before and clear signs from that and soe early P2P form over 2 and a half miles that it won't be an excuse!
