Ludlow 3.05
Robin Taylor - Ludlow 3.05 8 Nefyn Bay - 1/4 point each way @ 7/1
"We had some of the worst of the snow and freezing temperatures over in Shropshire and the Course is well protected
by The Clee Hills and always a cold spot. The snow melt and some subsequent race will likely mean we are running on
"pudding" and with the narrow bends, Going quickly deteriorates on the racing line. The 3.05 is over 2 miles and they are
not likely to hang about. The market leaders are coming with decent form and scope and whilst I fear Cloonacool and the
Fry horse, the bigger dangers may be Ascendent; Inn The Bull and NEFYN BAY. I think Ascendent will struggle to get a
4 timer, Inn The Bull has to be forgiven a disappointing effort last time and although a CD winner, may not want it too tacky;
NEFYN BAY meanwhile has won at a half mile further (twice) on soft and although lacking a turn of foot; this looks more
like a race that will end with a "grind to the line" than something won by a horse bursting clear. Those wins were off marks of
98 and 104, and it has a decent chance on the form book therefore winning off 105, less the 5lbs claim and appreciably less
weight and lead, tan some of its likely rivals. A small each way, on a quiet day.
