ROBIN - Sandown 3.00 Handicap Chase - Class 3 - 3 miles - 11 run - Soft

 

A fair number of unexposed and possibly progressive Chasers in here.  

 

At the top end of the market the likes of Huelgoat, My Silver Lining, Not Sure and Collectors Item all have solid chances but 3 miles in soft ground may be a bit of a challenge for each of them at the likely  compacted odds and I feel it's a race to look deeper for some value.

 

I don't think that Animal or Midnight Mary are quite good enough to win here but I think that both ROBYNDZONE who missed 2 years when with Fergal O'Brien but who has found a new lease of life with Venetia Williams an who is upped in grade a bit here but in cracking form could be a late bloomer and still well handicapped off a mark of 113.

 

JET PLANE won nicely first time out for the Skeltons, didn't get on at all with Warwick last time and made a crucial error down the back where rhythm is vital, we can forgive that I think and give him another chance and it's interesting to note that all of his Chase wins and best Hurdle form is right handed! At double figure Odds he looks cracking value.
