Southwell 3.30 Handicap Hurdle - Class 5 - 2 miles 4 and 1/2 Furlongs - Going Good

 

At the top of the market here we have Thundersocksundae from the prolific Fergal / McPherson combination and Killane from the equally prolific McCain yard.

 

With enhanced places though there should be some value and the favourites are not bomb-proof.

 

Commander Miller and Mountain Hawk both have bits of form back in their cv's but both will almost certainly benefit from their seasonal debuts.

 

At a price the one that jumps off the page a bit is TRUE THOUGHTS. A winner off this mark of 77 at Wincanton in the past, gets an excellent 3lbs more off the Claim of the excellent Mitchell Bastyan and was a close up 3rd on seasonal debut to Thundersocksundae running on well to the line at Worcester recently. On the same terms with that rival it may get a bit closer and the price disparity between the pair looks excessive to me.
