ROBIN - Southwell 3.55 Handicap Hurdle - Class 5 - 3 miles and 1/2 furlong - Soft - 14 run

 

On this occasion I do think that any price above 5/2 is WIN VALUE on TUNE IN A BOX who was impressive winning at Newcastle (NH) last time out and is upped 9lbs. I think that win is far more conclusive than the one of General Hubble at Market Rasen as that hasn't really been franked to any degree by those following the winner home in a number of races since. 

 

Hobbs Delight won over 2 miles a 3 furlongs last time but jumping was sloppy and is upped significantly in trip, CATCH HIM DERRY is also upped in trip after 3 qualifying runs over 2 miles and the Skelton Team are in good form and I don't think they would step up a mile if they weren't pretty sure of the horses stamina, although there is no known P2P form to back that up.

 

Tiny Tantrum may need the run, neither Private Pike nor Duke Of Moravia inspire sufficient confidence, Camillas Choice may well need the run but has some interesting ex Irish form for Gary Hamer and we've added that one to the TRACKER as it's a streaky yard who have winners in batches when they are fit.

 

A couple caught the eye for some shrapnel, Samourai is also added to the TRACKER with Bryony Frost riding for lucy Wadham, this one is upped in trip and did appear to stay on well over shorter last time having being badly hampered and almost bough to a standstill. That leaves OLIVERS ISLAND a quirky 14 year old who pops up from time to time in this sort of race and is actually a solid yardstick especially if some of the less exposed and inexperienced ones fail to shine.
