A competitive little race and a strong favourite in Boomtown Barker who bolted in when very well backed at Worcester last time off a 553 day break. A 4lbs penalty should not stop it but at 2/1 or less IF you want a win saver, take one but I'm keen on a few at each way value.

 

Cadeau D'Or for the Pipe yard is an ex Balding Flat horse who is upped in trip and on Flat form and pedigree would have a chance "if" staying the trip in a race run at a decent pace, the key word is "if" and I'm happy to side against it. Pawpaw is upped in trip and the good form of the Ben Pauling yard is by far the biggest recommendation so on form alone is another I'm happy to take on. 

 

A few may well benefit from the run and a return to the Track and in that context we'll leave Coillte Eile, Dantes View and Cobbs Corner alone, although the latter has shown a few glimmers of form to warrant being TRACKED (add to your Tracker systems). 

 

At BIG Odds I do think there are investment opportunities for both SAY NOTHING who has placed off a mark of 100 and won off that mark and who has had a wind operation recently and dropped to a very appealing mark of 92. IF the operation helps its worth a shrapnel bet.

 

TEXAN NOMAD has won at 2 miles off marks of 98 and 100, it's upped in trip but is race fit and off a mark of 93 it's another well worth a small interest (£1 e/w).

 

Of the main contenders at the prices I thought the value lay with ANDAPA and Dellboy Trotter. Dellboy has form figures of 1-1 (off 75 and 81) and placed run form of 4-3-2-3 and is solid in a place context off a mark of 90. I just think the trip though is on the short side so it'll be reserve if ANDAPA didn't run. ANDAPA was 3rd of 12 in this race last season, has had 3 runs back so will be spot on fitness wise and with wins off 75 and 80 ras reduced its mark in those 3 runs from 90 down to todays mark of 84 and at the price I think good each way value.
