Sunday 27th January

The unique nature of the track lends itself to Course and Distance form and a couple have strong Claims on that basis. REDMOND can possibly be excused for a poor run at Warwick last time (tricky jumping track and got it all wrong and wisely pulled up); it did win here over Course and Distance just under a year ago, off a mark of 94, runs off exactly the same mark today and if in that kind of rhythm is not a bad each way price. REMEMBER FOREVER (NON RUNNER) is also a Course winner, ran noticeably well in a tougher race here recently and the Course win was off a pound higher than today, a mark of 86. Both would be up to placing at least here.

That's the tipping race but one other small update from Robin-:

The only other race of note is the 4.00 where it looks URBANIST's to lose, the obvious danger is Tigerally, Goodnightsweetheart comes off a long lay off so the each way value could lie with Mulhollands LEE SIDE LADY (@ 8/1). There are a few with very old form like Little Boy Boru (see Tracker); and Away For The Slates (one decent run for Skelton) whilst Sheilas Fancy has obvious AW stamina but can't jump (yet); Quarry Lami is another off a huge break, sadly went lame winning a few years back. I can't tip anything therefore with confidence but one to keep a close eye on if you want a small outlay may be Handicap debutant BLACK LIGHTNING (@ 25/1) - from the Nick Gifford Yard - been in some decent company in 3 qualifying runs, gets what could be a nice mark and there may be worse BIG PRICED e/w pokes today for a place.
