Taunton 2.55
A number of these would be hoping for the track to be riding on the good side of soft whilst the Going stick indicates it will be tackier than that and the trip of 3 miles and 2 furlongs will take some getting even on this pretty flat track.
If we focus on proven ability at the trip and in to Going it's again worth mentioning BIG TIME FRANK, still to find anything like the form and consistency of last season but back on a mark below 90 again and a horse who will "fire up" and start to deliver again at some point and not entirely discounted at big odds here.
The Pipe horse GREAT TEMPO has always looked to have something better than Course form indicates and remains a live danger and just you feel needs the cards t drop right and is worth a Tracker tip. Bellamys Grey ran well last time but I just have a niggle about this extended trip on softer Going.
The pair I most like against the strong favourite (LIZZIE LANGTON on who I will have a small win saver to cover my other bets) are CAP HORNER who had a Course win off a mark of 110 least time it ran here, drops to Class 5 and still only a 7 year old and off a mark of 93 after 4 runs already this season surely has to perk up soon and the Course form is most interesting.
The other one is KILCREA BRIDGE who will have benefited from recent seasonal debut though not rushed back, won a 3 mile Chase at Exeter last December off a mark of 96, runner up also over this trip at Chepstow on soft Going off a mark of 100, and gets in here off that winning mark of 96 and looks sure to run a big race with a safe passage.
TIPS - KILCREA BRIDGE + CAP HORNER - Tracker Great Tempo (win saver Lizzie Langton who I will also include in a Tricast Perm with 2 tips).
