ROBIN - Ayr 2.25 - Class 5 Handicap - 5 furlongs - 22 run - Good to Soft

I toyed with this race and the 5.20 race but too much unexposed 3 year old form in the latter, so I'll have a bash at the Sprint.

The imponderable is the Draw so I've hedged any bets with a perm across the track.

Dalgleish has 3 at big Odds and all have something to find but you can't rule any of his out here and out of Eternal Halo , Hot Diggity Dog and LADY LADE , I prefer the latter as the drop back in trip looks like a cunning move and it may have been engineered to a nice mark by running over 6 furlongs, where it's run prominently before fading.

The Gloaming has a nice mark and likes some cut in the ground and was hard to discount, as was Triple Jaye who was 5th in this last year off some golden form at the time. It's chance will come again may be with a few more pounds off the handicapper. I think the same applies to Refuge and whilst Burtonlodge Beauty surprised when winning at 50/1 last time it doesn't strike me as particularly strong form.

At the top end of the market I fear Bonito Cavalo, Little Muddy, Burj Malinka and Never Dark, who is the one to beat on form, but in the case of all of those I think there is better e/w value to extended places elsewhere.

I really do strongly fancy PROSPECT and LADY CELIA. Prospect is drawn in Stall 21 so can run the rail, the Trainer has a great record in this race and certainly plans a campaign around the Meeting for his Sprinters, its nicely handicapped and has no excuses. Lady Celia is drawn in Stall 17, travels very well on this kind of ground on turf and is I think off a very nice mark and could have more progress to come on the surface.

I think too that TANASOQ drawn in Stall 2 is the most likely of those drawn Low at the price and that LATIN FIVE another Midgeley runner is overpriced and with a central draw could be at the front of an arrowhead if that's the right place to be on the track, another who likes some juice in the ground and another who arrives off a possibly protected mark.

TRACKERS - Prospect + Lady Celia / shrapnel - Tanasoq + Latin Five / £1 e/w on Lady Lade
