Uttoxeter 2.00

ROBIN - Uttoxeter 2.00 Handicap Hurdle - Class 5 - 2 miles 7 and 1/2 furlongs - 15 run - Soft

There are a few unexposed types in here from big Yards who are upped in trip and a few more with exposed form trying a new trip and after plenty of rain in the possibly attritional conditions its quite probable that a few will go off a Yard too fast and come back to the field and set the race up for a closer with a bit of proven stamina. As always you just have to hope that those types who are likely to be near the back first time round don't throw their toys out of the pram early and allow themselves to be ridden patiently into the race to be competitive at the business end.

We have 3 horses already in the Tracker System here and I feel that Black Lightning who is a Market Rasen specialist and best over shorter trips and Sir Jack West who is basically disappointing and running further than usual are best watched today. The third I will come on to later on. I will also ADD to the Tracker a pair who look worth following in the coming months, Redbridge Rosie for the highly regarded Sarah Humphrey has run mostly on sharp right handed tracks so far, so it'll be interesting and informative to watch today. The yard have a very high success rate with a handful of horses. Came From Nothing is one from the Jonjo yard who is upped markedly in trip on handicap debut, hasn't shown enough nor does it have any 3mile P2P form to be a tip , but definitely one worth keeping a close eye on in the future.

At the top of the market Alioski steps up markedly in trip and faded at its only try over 2 and a half miles, not for me therefore in these conditions, Bluebella looks more of a threat upped from two and a half miles where it has run to the line but the price is a bit restrictive, Punches Cross a second Jonjo runner has had a number of chances and doesn't look that trustworthy but could fire at some point, Blazing Court for Martin Keighley makes handicap debut and stayed on over shorter last time it ran and was the last one not selected to be discarded, so for those who like to know what the backup is, this is it! Seefin runs for the Skeltons, always dangerous here and normally I'd be very keen on this type from the yard but its upped in trip under Rules and the bigger worry is that it showed no real aptitude for the trip in 4 runs over 3 miles in P2P racing, so unless it has developed dramatically (not impossible), on balance not for me today.

Looking at proven stamina and a nice handicap mark I was left with 3 to back with quiet confidence and I'll be very disappointed if a couple of these aren't bang in contention.

RUMBLE B deserves a win and has placed on a decent number of occasions, the trip is ideal, the handicap mark gives it every chance and if has decent form on soft ground. I can't find any reason why it won't run up to its mark and place at least with luck in running and with so many stamina concerns it looks cracking each way value. ROBBIE DAZZLER is in the Tracker already, has had 3 quiet runs but usually needs a few to get really race fit and on the basis of a few placed efforts towards the end of last season does look very well handicapped and has been kept i think for this sort of ground and opportunity. There is a risk he drops himself out and loses interest but if he can pick a few off and they go on to the second circuit away from the stables then I can see him making significant late progress. The other one not to totally rule out for some shrapnel is Dakota Beat who rated 3rd in my list and again should outrun its Odds.

Tips (1) Rumble B / (2) Robbie Dazzler / (3s) Dakota Beat
