Warwick 2.40 - Handicap Hurdle Class 4 over 2 miles and 3 furlongs - 12 run

 

There are a couple of interest here both at decent Odds, I will adopt a watching brief on Olly Murphy's Highgate Hill @ 10/1 who is a 3 mile P2P winner and this slight step up in trip (although still well short of optimum) may be a help. The trip seems too far for some of the market leaders and the going may be too soft for many so I am a bit flabbergasted that SAMSONS REACH is such a big price.

 

A Course and Distance winner in Heavy Going off 97 in December 2017, Won last November off a mark of 106 and although running off a mark of 110 here with the excellent Adam Wedge up, has had the same preparation as that November win last year, a quiet "off the radar" Flat run. Add the Course and Distance form and the winning form in this type of Going together and the price looks plain daft! It might end up running like "the rag" but I'm happy to take a chance.
