Wincanton 1.30
Wincanton 1.30 Handicap Chase - Class 3 - 3 miles 1 furlong and 15 run
Coopers Square and El Presente at the head of the market look solid but yet to fully prove themselves at the trip, at the other end there may be a race in a smaller field and less pressurised environment still in The Happy Chappy, and he is one I will track on from this race over Christmas and New Year period.
The pair that look the most likely to my eyes and at decent e/w value are CESAR ET ROSALIE who is progressing nicely, the trip and Going (even if softer than advertised) look ideal and no better rider of a long distance Chaser than Sam Twiston-Davies and I think this one is on balance the one they all have to beat. Slightly more speculative is ABOVE BOARD who has possibly dropped back to the kind of mark it can finally be competitive at, has had a run where it ran in to a promising position before fading and the Trip and Going hold no fears and with the O'Neills in partnership, will lack for nothing from the saddle.
Tips Wincanton 1.30 Cesar Et Rosalie + Above Board
TRACKER - Wincanton 12.20 In a tough and tight race the one I think is best value is MICK MANHATTAN from the progressive Sam Thomas yard with Sam T-D also up on this one, wasn't stopping over 2 miles and 3 furlongs at Chepstow last time and handled the softer Going well enough. Just feels like better form in likely conditions and extended trip than the likes of Countyourchickens, Favouri De Sivola; Kauto the King; who could all make nice horses in time. Fergals I'm Wiser Now and Nifty at Fifty are big dangers but I like the profile of the selection.
