Mr Woody will be the one they all have to beat with a 3lbs penalty for a Chase win last time but at very restrictive Odds it's by no means a foregone conclusion and there may be a bit of each way value given it's market price.

 

Lil Codey and Dynamic Kate don't really excite me in any way as a punting proposition at their early prices but Robbie Dazzler may be helped by the step up in trip and one of the few I really fear in the race.

 

BALKOTIC has proven stamina, not many do here, winning at 3 miles and 3 furlongs at Sedgefield and going up 5lbs in the process, it disappointed next time at Southwell, many can do that there and has had a Flat run to keep fitness sharp, off 90, just 3 lbs above the win mark it's not hard to see it being ridden to bring stamina in to play and the lady pilot is very adept at running horses for the in form Hammond yard to their merits and I think it' excellent each way value.

 

Train Hill was runner up last season before having wind problems and Pulling Up twice, it got round last time after a Wind Op and if that's restored a bit of fitness and confidence it rates the main danger to my other selection which is WRITTENINTHESAND. I think the price of this one is very generous, it's got bits of chase form at the trip off marks in the high 80's and low 90's, it had a sighter over hurdles last time and with that transitional run in the bank is one I think could go a lot closer tonight at nice e/w Odds, off a generous looking mark of 83.
