A long look through the 6.15 at Kempton led me in one direction initially and then another, and there could be some value so here is the logic-:

I narrowed down initially to 4 runners and discarded Divine Messenger on value and 112 days off concerns and Dashing Poet who I simply don't think likes the track despite a nice mark. I could not split NARJES who could be on a nice handicap mark and a touch of each way value around 7/1 and DIRECTORY who may just be in the grip of the handicapper now but very solid and consistent in grade and here and again a touch of value at 6-7/1. However, that did not excite me and I was tending towards a "non tipping day" with nothing at all elsewhere.

I then though re-visited a few of the others and think there is value and a small bet to be had in a pair from decent Yards who cry out "unexposed". EXCELLERATION comes from a leading Yard who give horses time; the jockey booking adds to my confidence and a look  at the runner up run on Good to Firm Turf at Lingfield on 9th June and collateral form since, shows both ability and a nice mark off 70 here. I think that the step up since to a mile is probably the right one and 16/1 just looked 4-6 points too high to me with that untapped potential. RIPPLING WATERS was a Course and Distance winner in a fair Maiden here a few runs back and has since disappointed on turf. However; that Maiden win was off a mark of 73, he gets in here off 70 and at 4, still has some scope to improve, and again 16/1 looked too high to me.

The crux of my logic is the exposed and possibly high marks of the experience of Narjes and Directory v the glimmers of decent and unexposed form of the 2 selections. I would be disappointed if the winners and placed are not in those 4 horses to be honest. With Sky / Lads / Coral and BV offering enhanced Odds to 4th I will play the 2 unexposed horses and have a few random Forecast perm lines seeking a nice Tricast payout on a quiet day.
