Monday 10th February
Plumpton 3.45 - Sussex National - Handicap Chase - Class 3 - 3 miles 4 and 1/2 furlongs - 11 run - Soft
Invincible Nao and Unanswered Prayers head the market based on some good form over an extended 3 miles but with the former stepping up in trip Unanswered Prayers would be the more solid "win" option if you want a win bet.
Morfee is nicely weighted and could take a hand but is upped considerably in Class and at the other end of the scale we have top weight CHAMBARD who steps down in Class and who despite top weight off a declining mark would be over-priced at 16-20/1 IF reviving.
Last year's winner DOM OF MARY has had one run so far this season, he arrived at the race last year (usually the first Sunday in January) having had 2 races, so may be a bit undercooked but he has the best discernable Course and Distance form. The most progressive horse in the race could be SUPERVISOR and with Trainer Venetia Williams having top weight Chambard in the race it leaves SUPERVISOR running off a very nice mark and looking ready to step up from 3 miles.
I would suggest SUPERVISOR is the best each way punt in the race therefore with a small saver on CHAMBARD purely on the basis of price from the two market leaders and Dom Of Mary (RJ)
