Newcastle 6.00 -:
A decent Class 4 field of 10 here over a mile and my win bet / each way banker would be the Julie Camacho trained TITIAN who has both form on the surface and also at this time of the year and I think is also the class horse of the race. At bigger odds, although this one is being backed too in early markets, I liked the look of BELLARCHI who has won its only AW race on the Tapeta surface and who looks to have plenty of scope still to improve.
Wolverhampton 7.45 -:
A run of the mill typical Class 6 Wolves 1 mile (and 1/2 furlong) handicap with a field of 12 and quite compact at the top end of the market. PLUMETTE would be the each way banker Nap on the Card here for the Loughnane yard, I noted it staying on well over 7 furlongs here last time and this extended mile should suit better and it has the look of a horse wunning close to its optimum level.
At bigger odds a few caught my eye but I'll go with VAN ZANT who tends to be aimed at winter AW and who has had a couple of quiet prep runs. A winner twice last season off marks of 46, here over 7 furlongs and over a mile at Southwell and placed here on its 3rd run. I think it will now be sharp and fit enough to take a hand and the early 33-40/1 is very appealing.
