Leicester 12.40 - Conditional Jockey Handicap Hurdle - 2 miles 4 and 1/2 furlongs - 10 run - Class 5 - Good to Soft

The top pair in the market are Dexperado who certainly ticks to mark, trip and form requirements but returning after a break of 222 days and suggestions on past evidence it may need the run the price is very restrictive. Similarly; Alioski is upped in trip and would ideally be looking for better ground and 10/3 is similarly too tight price wise.

Of the remainder, very little substantive form with the exception of Release The Kracken for Martin Keighley who has snippets of form and returns off a 113 day break. He would be more dangerous I feel than the top 2 in the market to my selection.

BROWNSTONE is a recent Irish recruit for Grace Harris and has had a spin recently, running poorly to be honest but it will have helped to acclimatise the horse and Irish form suggests that the horse has plenty of ability, winning a couple of times off marks in the mid 80's and also is far better suited going right handed which Leicester is of course. I think a mark of about 90 should ultimately see this horse very competitive so I have added it to the TRACKER, a mark of 97 today certainly gives it place chances if fully tuned up and I will be disappointed if it's not in the first four home, hopefully third at worst.     (Robin)
