In terms of MENTIONS, I was tempted by Neola in the 7.50 at Newbury but that is close on unfathomable and also by our old friend Whinging Willie at Epsom in the opener at 6.00, but I was left with the hunch he is there to give the girl a ride and to get his mark down a bit more for later in the season, and he did do the job for us last October at something like 14/1 off a lower mark. The one I was left with was SHANAWAY in the 2.40 at Perth with enhanced odds to 4th from 3 major Bookies. Three of these met last time at Uttoxeter just 2 weeks ago (Our Morris;Mission Trio and Petite Ganache) and I just wonder if they have had long enough to recover from exertions there given the heat. PG fell early as did another in this race Uluroo so they may be a bit circumspect with jumping today. SHANAWAY is likely to try to make all, as many of the Yards do, if he can nick an early lead, get the fractions/breathers right and put the others under pressure could take this from the front and with odds to 4th looks cracking each way value. I'd consider a Tricast with Our Morris / Mission Trio and Petite Ganache in that order.
