FFos Llas 1.15 - Handicap Chase - Class 4 - 3 miles - 14 run - Good to Soft

The top pair in the market are Village Master with form figures of 11-111 has gone from a mark of 78 up to 112 and clearly progressive but the sheer law of average suggests it should be hitting a ceiling at some point and 5/2 is too short a price in this field for me. Phantom Getaway has done little since a Course and Distance win 2 years ago, returning from a wind operation on seasonal debut and my brain says "best watched".

The likes of Ali Star Bert; Shot Boii, Pilgrims King and Stellar Stream can and have all proven they can win races, I feel all will benefit from this race today and of them I think Stella Stream is the most progressive and worth adding to the TRACKER.

That leaves me with 3 to note and mention of the other runners and I will reluctantly leave out Icaque De L'Isle who will be a handy backup if there is a non runner following a pleasing return last time at Worcester. I really feel this race today though is tailor made for a couple of others in the field.

PUDDLESINTHEPARK definitely has 2 ways of running but just feels "due", is surely race fit now after some recent runs, has Course and Distance winning form off a mark of 94, Adam Wedge replaces one or other of the Trainers very capable daughters in the saddle and I think they will go out to make stamina and fitness count here and look to pass beaten and tired horses down the long straight.

DUSAUTOIR has been in my notebook for a while prior to my time off. An unexposed Chaser from a progressive Yard amongst the winners who are thriving with this type of recruit. He has shown promise and now would be an ideal time to start fulfilling that undoubted potential. (RT)

FFos Llas 3.35 Novice Handicap Hurdle - 2 miles 4 furlongs - 16 run - Good to Soft

There isn't great depth to this race and it's impossible to ignore IONITY at the head of the market on known form and on this occasion anything around 3/1 does seem to be good win value.

Drumlee Spud, a 3 mile P2P winner who has a tendency to run well and then drop out quickly and Chauffeur Driven a 3 mile P2P also who ha sso far proven disappointing should click at some point for big in form Yards as should the Alan King trained Top Kap, but with all around the 6/1 mark it's hard to find any great each way value there with a lack of actual proven form, so I'm looking elsewhere for more substantive form over their possible potential.

VILLAINESS has run well and won over 2 miles running strongly to and through the line and a step up in trip looks very sensible. They may not have to go right up with the early pace here and can run quietly for the first mile and then hopefully ease through the gears and stay on to the line.

Lady Harriett @ 12/1 was my 4th rated and again Sean rides for dad Peter Bowen who will hope first time cheek-pieces do the trick, hard to leave totally out and a win or place would be no surprise if you wanted a fourth poke with almost guaranteed 5 places to attack.

I marginally prefer the chances though of HI RIKO wh has changed Yards but who has run very well fresh and first time out before, that suggests the horse has clean wind and can be gotten ready and if new connections have laid the horse out to run well first time it certainly has a squeak in this field of odds of 16/1 or better  (RJ)
