Sunday 14th July

STRATFORD 2.30 - Handicap Chase - Class 5 - 2 miles 6 and 1/2 furlongs - 13 run - Good to Firm

I think GENTLE CONNECTIONS for the Skeltons is the stronger of the 3 market leaders here, and is taken to confirm an eye catching effort last time and to beat Coconut Twist and Unwanted Attention. That could be the ultimate 1-2-3.

The likes of Ingennio, who can win races but at Fakenham it seems, Dusky Days, a Course winner at 2 miles 1 furlong but mixed messages on form and this trip, Hollington a P2P winner who looks quite promising and Hobie, who has form elsewhere but who has failed to shine here on a few visits hold place chances at their very best.

The each way value though may be AVIEWTOSEA who was beaten 1/2 length in a Class 4 here last Autumn off a mark of 111 and who drops to Class 5 and off a declining mark of 100. A repeat of that Autumn run would surely make him very competitive here.

PERTH 4.15 - Handicap Hurdle - Class 4 - 3 miles - 11 run - Good

A significantly more competitive race here with plenty in with chances.

Fever Dream is upped 12 lbs for a Course and Distance win, Jeteye is upped 5lbs for a win at Hexham, Diamond State looks to be coming to hand and this trip should suit and Kilbrainey has an interesting win at 2 miles and 5 furlongs, has been kept back at 2 miles though since then, but now steps back up to 3 miles with a first time tongue tie. This one could pop up at a price for canny connections but I'm adding to the TRACKER as it's one to follow closely.

BUY SOME TIME is up 8lbs for an impressive Course and Distance win last time and I think that form is stronger than Fever dreams win, in that race he beat DALILEO who is a solid and consistent standing dish around here and with DALILEO getting a pull at the weights, if my assessment of the respective form lines is correct, I think that DALILEO is a bigger danger than Fever Dream.
