Bath 1.57 - Apprentice Handicap - Class 6 - 1 mile 2 furlongs - 11 run - Good

A trio head the market here but i think all are vulnerable and have little value at constricted prices, Renesmee makes Course debut and improved for this trip last time and would be the most feared of the three, Run Of Luck is a 3 year old with just 4 runs and the market price baffles me a little and Blue Hero whilst a Course regular may need a little further than this and could be asked to make up too much ground late on.

GALACTIC GLOW is a Course and Distance winner off a mark of 50 last season, then took too much of a hike in the handicap but is back to a competitive looking mark of 52 here.

My Brother Mike who has some Course and Distance form and who has gone to the Loughnane yard was my 3rd best rated and can be considered in the event of a non runner, but i think the best e/w value at a big price on the whole Card is LHEBAYEB who has 2 wins and 3 places at Bath last season on all ground from Good to Heavy , has been quiet this season but having dropped back down to a mark in the 50's once again (59-3lbs claim) does start to look cracking enhanced place value at 28-33/1 early markets (RJ)

Bath 3.40 Handicap - Class 2 - 1 mile 6 furlongs - 14 run - Good

This is a Class 2 Final but in reality stacked with Class 6 qualifiers and a few who ply their trade slightly higher up the scale but nothing gets anywhere near Class 2!

Al Sayah may be the one with the highest ceiling but is upped 9lbs for a win lacks experience and could be anything. At BIG odds we have Class 6 regular like Masterdream  beaten 19 lengths in this race last year, Endofdream a 40/1 winner last time out and beaten 12 lengths in this last year and Asense who may be the best of those priced 25/1 or higher.

Spitfire Bridge and grey Owl have a chance of finishing in the top 4 on best form but my clear top 3 rated are, DYNAMISTE who is a progressive 4 year old who can defy a penalty and a genuine Class 4 type and MYRIAD who could be well handicapped off a mark of 65 after a decent run here on penultimate start. With enhanced places if you want a third poke then CHERRY COLA might add some fizz to proceedings as a Course and Distance winner off 65 in the past, placed off marks of 64 and 69 and back to an eye-catching mark of 61 with a 5lbs Claimer up. Doncaster 4.50 - Handicap Class 4 - 1 mile 2 furlongs - 16 run - Good

A host of potential 3 year old improvers and a few upped from a mile but really only 2 more exposed types really caught my fancy here.

YOUNG FIRE won last week, looks to be still on an upward curve and I think they can strike again off a 2lbs added penalty whilst the iron is hot. A tough cookie who loves a battle.

PIECEDERESISTANCE is lightly raced and a bit inconsistent, but opened the season of just 4 runs with a really eye catching run in a similar event at York and this strong travelling type might just be the sort that loves a big field battle rather than something more tactical! (Northern)
